- “Overwhelmed” means, “to be submerged under the weight of something. To be overtaken by a superior force. To throw a dark sheet over to create darkness. To be enveloped as to become weak or faint.”
II. WHEN YOUR HEART IS OVERWHELMED: ALLOW GOD TO LEAD YOU
- Faith’s greatest triumphs are achieved in our heaviest trials.
III. WHEN YOU ARE OVERWHELMED: BECOME OVERWHELMED BY WHO GOD IS
- David is both confessing human inadequacy and affirming divine sufficiency.
- Another definition of overwhelmed is, “to be overpowered by your thoughts and feelings.”
When you realize WHO God is you will be OVERWHELMED by His grace and mercy.
- The overwhelming issues of life are difficult to face. But when overwhelm meets faith, we find a God who is able to hear us, help us, hide us, and OVERWHELM us with WHO He is!

IV. WHEN YOU ARE OVERWHELMED: BECOME OVERWHELMED BY HIS PRESENCE.
